Driving the news: The frigate will operate with Allied naval forces in the North Atlantic, North Sea and Baltic Sea until December 2026, supporting freedom of navigation, protecting maritime routes and reinforcing NATO's deterrence posture. As part of SNMG1, it will also back the maritime component of the NATO Allied Reaction Force, ready to respond to emerging security threats.
