Why it matters
INKAS is scaling its Canadian and US manufacturing footprint as Ottawa puts greater emphasis on domestic industrial capacity, resilient supply chains and Canadian made defence technologies. The expansion gives the Toronto based manufacturer more room to support armoured vehicles, tactical platforms, uncrewed systems and specialized vehicles across North American and international programs.
The details
INKAS is leasing three additional facilities that it expects to have fully operational by July 31, 2026:
A 42,000 square foot facility in Toronto
A 200,000 square foot armoured vehicle production facility in Charlotte, North Carolina
A 31,000 square foot facility in Fort Pierce, Florida, its first location in the state
Together, the sites are expected to more than double INKAS's North American production space.
The Charlotte plant is specially equipped for armoured vehicle manufacturing and gives INKAS access to a local workforce with experience in the sector, allowing the company to scale production without building that expertise from scratch.
What it supports
The added footprint will support INKAS's portfolio of armoured vehicles, tactical platforms, drones and uncrewed aerial vehicles, and special purpose vehicles.
CEO David Khazanski said the expansion reflects the company's confidence in long term demand for protected mobility, unmanned systems and specialized platforms. Chairwoman Margarita Simkin said the new facilities will create opportunities for engineers, technicians, production specialists and support staff in Canada and the United States.

INKAS has more than 30 years of experience designing and manufacturing armoured vehicles and security systems. Its portfolio includes armoured SUVs and sedans, tactical vehicles, armoured personnel carriers, uncrewed platforms, cash in transit vehicles and custom built special purpose platforms.
